Ryan and Julie were kind enough to invite us to dinner this last weekend. We were rudely a little late, but from Roy, it was a longer drive than we anticipated. Gabriel was instant friends with Caleb. I don't think Caleb was too sure of Gabe though. As soon as Gabe had his shoes off he was right next to Caleb on the sofa watching the end of "The Incredibles". Caleb was a little shy towards us until Gabe pegged him with "Can you talk?" over and over again for the first ten minutes of dinner.
It was wonderful to see all of them again. We met Mason for the first time. Yes, the last time I saw Ryan and Julie was when Julie was so cutely pregnant with him. He is a pretty funny little guy. He was fascinated by Jacob's five o'clock shadow and insisted on rubbing his whiskers repeatedly.
Thank you Julie and Ryan, it was great to catch up and have you meet Jake for the first time. It was a fun night.

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day was perfect. Jake arranged for a sitter for Gabriel and we went to dinner and a movie. It is always nice to spend time together.
I am going to boast just a little because I am VERy proud of the present I gave to Jake for V day. I worked really hard on it and Jacob had no idea. It is a mailbox that I painted. On one side it is a fish jumping out of the water, the other side is Jake fishing with Orvis on the shore. Jake loves it so much that he is not sure that he wants to put it to use.

Apple Head
One of our favorite things is to go to Grammie and Papu's house to play with Annie, Ty, and Eli. When we left the other night, Papu pointed out to the little ones that Gabe looked like an "Apple Head". For the next twenty minutes all three of the cousins chased Gabe around giggling and making munching sounds. Gabe loved the attention.

Jacob's Birthday
Happy Birthday Jacob!
We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate Jake's 32nd Birthday a few times. Gabe and I gabe him a 360 game that comes out in April called "The Force Unleashed". It is a Star Wars game that he is super excited about.
He did get his fish cake
