October

Happy Birthday Gabey! a big #5! He got books, legos, trios, clothes, a ball and mitt, a tractor, Bakugans, and a triceratops cake; Lots of love sweet boy!

Paisley is 4 Months old now, she giggles, squeals, grabs some things, and can roll onto her side. She brings such joy to our family. Gabey is a great big brother and she loves him already.

Happy Halloween! Gabey was Wolverine for Halloween, the cartoon Wolverine, no I did not let my 5 year old see the x-men movies, or "X-Men Origins". Paisley was a glo-worm. My first picture of Paisley and baby cousin Lucas (5 weeks younger and 3lbs , sorry 4lbs bigger) and they matched! What a cute coincidence!

One Month!

It really does go quickly. Our little sweetie is one month old! I can't believe it. Thank you to all that have been so helpful and giving these last few weeks! I ended up in bed for ten days with Cellulitis in my left leg. Jake, Grammie and Nanna were wonderful in helping with the kids. LOVE YOU!!

Here are some pictures of Paisley's room, big brother Gabey, and our month old darling.

Happy, Sad

The happy news is that our little girl came early and she is doing GREAT! Paisley Grace decided she didn't want a July birthday and came on June 26th. She was 6lbs 8oz, and 20 inches long. We were worried that she was 4 weeks early, but apparently it was meant to be. She was able to meet her Great-grandpa Bigelow before he passed away this last Wednesday, which is the sad news. He was a good and sweet man and he will be sorely missed. We love you Grandpa!
Here are some pictures of Paisley and some cute ones of Gabriel and Grandpa at the cabin. Grandpa's favorite place:)

Grandpa's chair. When I told Gabey about Grandpa he said that he would miss playing with him in his chair.

This one is at the Playmill Theatre, Grandma and Grandpa loved taking us all there,

Update

Well, it is getting closer and the baby is getting bigger. She is about 6lbs, and doing very well. I am already dilated 2-3cm and just at 35 1/2 weeks. We just need her to last another week and a half and then she can come whenever she wants to. I have Gestational Diabetes so they woud start me the 14th, but the Dr seems to think she might want to come earlier than that. I can't believe that it is getting so close.
I've been making quilts, to pass the time. Jake is getting one for Father's Day, I finished our baby's quilt (picture to the side), and I've made one for Jared and Wendy, and two other baby blankets, for some ladies in our ward.

Gabe's first time on the Front Runner. Everytime we see it we make a HUGE deal.
Austin, Gabe, and Hailey, waiting for the Front Runner to head to Salt Lake for some fun.
We went to Ogden to see the Forgotton Carols' train that is touring the US. There was a 5 1/2 hour wait. Probably because they firgured there would only be about 600 people show up, what they didn't plan was that there is normally nothing exciting going on in Ogden, which would explain that there was over 1000. We changed plans and went to UP instead.
Here is Gabe with a Great Dane pup. It looks like he is choking her, but he really was gentle and sweet with them. They are so stink'n cute, it is hard not to take one home.

Rejected

In Primary on Sunday I was presenting my Sharing time to the Jr Primary when I saw my little boy hock some spit right into the little girls face sitting next to him. I couldn't believe it. Needless to say he got into BIG trouble.

After church he had some time to think about it. I had him some in and talk to me about what happened, explaining that we be like Jesus and be loving, kind, and sweet to people and spitting is none of those... here is the rest of our conversation.
"Well, telling someone you want to marry them is nice, and kind, right?"
I put two together.
"Is that what you did?"
"Yes, I asked Abby if she would marry me, and she said she didn't want to and it made me angry."
I tried really hard not to laugh at my blue-eyed boy, His first rejection and he spits in the girl's face? I then told him that he doesn't have to worry about getting married now. That when he gets home from his mission there will be many lovely young women that will want to marry him because he will be tall and handsome and kind and smart.
I guess we all handle rejection differently:)

So, we don't have that long to go till our sweet little girl is in our lives. I am 32 weeks this week and she is doing very well. She is already about 4lbs, which is in the 60% percentile. Here room is almost done and I look forward to sharing photos when it is. Just a warning, it is very pink.
It is a wonderful blessing that is coming into our lives. Jake is getting excited and that little girl is going to have him wrapped around her little finger from day one. Gabriel says goodnight to the baby every night and includes "baby" in everything when we talk about the family.
I have been making quilts. I am hand quilting one for our baby and I forgot how long it takes, though it will be beautiful. I have a few other baby blankets that I am working on, as well as some bigger ones with my mom.

Old Sink, New Sink

Okay, so we've had this new sink in our garage since our first summer in this house, and I can't believe it took us so long to get it in. I really wanted it in before the baby comes so I can give it bathes in the sink. Jake teased that i'd leave the baby in there like a dirty pan for a week if the new sink was in.... ha ha honey:) Now for some windowsills...

Aloha!

Well, for those of you who know, we've been in beautiful Hawaii for the last week and it went by way too fast. Thanks to Terry and Zina we stayed at the serene Ko' Olina Resort on Oahu. Pedicures, pools,  private lagoons, nice dinners, whale watching, Sunset Beach, the Polynesian Cultural Center, a wet swap meet, and a Triceratops. It was a week of fun, sun, and some rain too.
I would say that the highlight of the trip, besides just being with the Pippin clan, would be our boat ride. It began with a lot of huge waves and a sweet Gabriel clinging on to the railing saying,"I don't want to go for a boat ride!". The hostess on the boat told us they've only seen 2 breeches (which is where the whale comes mostly out of the water) since the beginning of whale season in October, I was telling myself not to expect any. Were we all in for a surprise. We saw at least 20! Yes 20 times we saw those huge and incredibly fascinating water beasts lift their bodies out of the ocean with just 2 rotations of their tales. Breeching 101 I guess. They were having fun on an extremely wavy ocean, I did get a little queazy.
We missed home, but it sure is hard coming back after being in Hawaii. Aloha!

I'm ready for Hawaii. Let's Go!!
Finally after months of anticipation we're
there! And are those rain clouds?
A trip to the North Shore and playing in the sand.
Uncle Jared was a good sport for the little
ones and let himself be burried.

Gabey loved his orange tube. He is so scared and
clingy in the water, but when he has this on, there is
no stopping him. He loved to be a Gabey-Shark. Here
he is chasing after Hailey. I love this kid, he always
                   makes me smile:)

                          The cousins love hanging out.

                                         Best Buddies.

                             Haleiwa shaved Ice. Yum Yum!
Sunset Beach, on the North Shore, Jake took
                some rock'n surfer pictures.
"I don't want to go on a boat ride!"
                                        "Nevermind!"

Gabe and Hailey are tattoo buddies.
Who can say "No" to those big Brown Austin eyes?
                           What a handsome Parker.

Hula ladies. Ashley, Zina, and Wendy.

                                          It's a Luau!

I promised Gabe a sand Triceratops and he got
one on our last day. Love you little buddy!

We'll Name It...

PAT. Oh baby, baby, baby. Bashful little thing. So my ultrasound went well and everything looks fine. She thought that it was a girl, but was not 100% sure. So, we think we'll just name it Pat.

It's A...

n Umbilical cord! I had an apt the other day hoping to find out some special news, but we'll need to wait a little longer. Though there was no 5th appendage obvious to the eye, there  was something that was thought to be a loop of the umbilical cord. So, I have my 20 week in three weeks, so I'll just have to wait a little longer before I start sticking flowers and butterflies, or frogs and toadstools, on the walls of the nursery. Here's the 17 week picture of the little sweetie.

Happy Birthday Jacob!!

Happy Birthday Love!

Just want to let you know that you are wonderful. You work so hard at work AND school. We are so proud of you. You are handsome, funny, and are much adored by me and Gabriel. Thank you for being such an important part of our life.
And what did my hubby want for His B-day besides money for an Iphone? Maternity pants!

But, Mommy. You're Old...

Out of the mouths of babes. The things this clever little man comes up with make me laugh everyday. What a Joy.

We were at the grocery store and I can't lift Gabriel up now (due to the baby in my tummy), so he just has to walk unless there are those car carts. There was a car cart, but I would have had to lift him up into it...

So he then runs to one of the motorized sitting carts. I say that it's for old people that can't walk very well.
"But Mommy, you're old"

Another one was yesterday in the car.
"Mommy, look! I decorated my face!"
I glance in the mirror and see that he has a fruit snack behind each ear, one stuck to his forehead, and one stuck to his nose.

The other day we were talking about the meat in the spaghetti sauce and Gabriel knows what animals the different meats come from. I realized that he didn't know how we get the meat.
He's a bright kid, so I thought I'd give it a try.I explain it to how we get the meat, and he laughs really hard because he thinks I'm teasing him.
He thinks for a minute,
"Mom, do the pigs poop out the meat?"
